Bilges Cleaning & Refinishing
This is an important part of your vessel’s maintenance requirements. Bilges are a major source of marine pollution as they tend to collect engine oil, fuel and transmission fluid, to name a few pollutants. When these fluids are pumped overboard, usually by automatic bilge pumps, they have a major negative environmental impact. Regular bilge cleaning prevents corrosion caused by saltwater environments and also prevents the collection of potentially dangerous fumes.
Refinishing of bilges helps with identifying potential leaks that could generate major machinery failures. It is also the best form of protection for the integrity of the hull, preventing hull material deterioration in contact with internal contaminants.
Vessel Voids Cleaning & Refinishing
This is required once the coating or interior lining system fials, the surface below becomes exposed to the tank’s atmopshere and tank contents resulting in corrosion and oxidization/rust. Once the metal begins to deteriorate it is important not to delay the repairs. The cost to repair a tank lining is a fraction of the replacement cost. All refinishing works are completed by qualified operators who are refinishing certified.
If just cleaning is required, we use high pressure steam in combination with applicable chemicals to remove any kind of contaminants. All residual liquid is also disposed leaving areas dry and ready for survey or hot works.
Machinery Space Refinishing
Constant high pressure, temperature, vibrations and external contaminants such as oil, fuel and acids cause the Machinery Surface Lining to fail without there being any issues with the Machinery itself. Above visual impact, refinishing an Engine, Genset or Engine Room also allows for the effective management and maintenance of your machinery. We use high velocity soda blasting or air powered abrasive methods to remove deteriorated lining from any part of the engines, gensets or other machinery, followed by a 3 step refinishing process with the customers desired colour. This applies to all machinery, gensets, air dive units, water makers, compressors and also to the machinery space or engine room itself.
If just cleaning is required, we use high pressure steam in combination with applicable chemicals to remove any kind of contaminants. All residual liquid is also disposed, leaving areas dry and ready for survey or hot works.
Diesel Cleaning & Storage
Diesel Fuel is routinely contaminated by water (condensation) and solids (ust and other debris from storage tanks). In most cases, filtration alone cannot remove all the contaminants or bacterial growth, therefore Marine Centrifuges are an economical way to remove these contaminants on an ongoing basis without the need of costly filter media.
Our Alfa Laval Centrifugal Separator has a capacity of 1,000L per hour with a guarantee of particle removal from 5 to 0.5 microns and it separates water from fuel down to its molecular form. The set-up is fully mobile and can be used anywhere.
Diesel Storage is required for survey or tank works. We can pump the diesel and clean the tanks, store in our self-bunded or underground tanks then pump it back up when the project is completed.
